WHAT IS LIGHT THERAPY?
‘Phototherapy (light therapy) is the use of photons of light to alter biological activity.’
Cells within our bodies contain receptors that naturally absorb light waves when exposed to light. This absorption stimulates normal cellular processes that otherwise occur naturally within the cell. Light therapy merely enhances this process.
WHAT IS LIGHT FUSION?
Light fusion is an innovative photo-facial suitable for all skin types that utilises natural visible red light and near-infrared light wavelengths to help soften fine lines, improve skin tone and brighten the complexion. The light fusion is unique as it is held millimetres from the skin, unlike traditional LED panel-type devices that are positioned away from the face. This allows for maximum absorption of light into the skin.

How does light assisted hair removal work?The light emitted by the device is absorbed my melanin(the colour) within the hair. This is then converted into heat energy, damaging the hair follicle.

What does the treatment feel like?Treatment sensation varies and everyone's pain threshold is different but you can feel what is described as the 'hot flick' of an elastic band during treatment. However thanks to Dynamic Reflex Technology, most clients describe the discomfort as moderate and tolerable.

How many sessions will I need?The number of sessions required varies from client to client and is dependent on many factors. Results can be seen after just a few treatments. We recommend having a session regularly every 4-6 weeks for face and every 6-8 weeks for body hair for a course of treatment. However a minimum of 4 and up to 12 treatments are recommended as a course to deliver the best results and maintenance treatments are advised to sustain results.

Who is suitable for treatment?Most people are suitable for treatment. Grey/white hair has no melanin so in this case we would advise electrolysis, we can offer a combination of laser and electrolysis. We always carry out a thorough consultation to assess medical history, suitability for treatment and plan the best treatment plan for you.
